View Full Version : supersprint - super noise!
fitted my supersprint centre section at 8pm in the ice cold last night, mmm what a sound the car makes now, its virtually straight through to the 5 inch back box - TVR owners would appreciate the sound! its not boomy, just raw, and with the lumpy tickover it burbles and pops like a good'un.
The power realeased is amazing - that old devil called torque is back, in fact my skinny little arms had trouble holding the car straight on full throttle!
A word of warning though, it wasn't straight forward to fit, it seemed to be 3 inches too long where it mounted to the cat, so my mate cut a bit out and re-welded it.
Just waiting for a letter of complaint from the neighbours now

If only it had fit on mine... I was getting the centre section too but it didn't fit..:( :(
Bloody Seat UK...:hammer: :hammer:

hmm, there's something wierd about cordys, nothing fits off the shelf, even bits that i've bought that are designed for it need modding to fit.Typical VW group really, so many damn variants and facelifts and interbrand breeding.

You didn't get a Seat UK car too did you?
Pete
don't think so, just think as its an early P reg its just on the edge of the facelift period.

Oohhh it could be then.... Mine was registered in '97 but god knows when it came into the country. It does have a nice custom built manifold though. :D :D :D And it sounds nice and grumbly.....

Scotty,
Thats good news for me, I am getting the supersprint and centre section just after the new year - oh by the way can you ask that guy stuart how he is getting on with the bumper - I emailed him a few days ago but still aint had a reply, last time we spoke he said he was getting molded from your bumper and that it would be ready by Christmas - Im not in a hurry to fit it but would like it before January so I can figure how much cash I will have left to do my other mods.
Cheers
Chris
Hi Chris,
Stuarts asked for my car next week so as he can get the mold(?) taken - the original company that was doing it for him mucked around and now say they don't want to do it, so he's having to get the molds made at a loss from a different one so you're getting a bargain!
oh and I can't use my car for four days while its being done!
:(
nevermind - all in the name of modifying, want to see some pics when you get it on! :D
Scotty,
Cheers for that mate, I dint wanna call and annoy him anymore than I needed, that sounds good about the price, did he mention how much its going to be - I wont be getting it sprayed for a while, I will be waiting til I get my twin headlight conversion and my sideskirts -
Some major mods on the way
Ovv
don't hold me to it chris, but I think they are selling for 250 inc spots.

I want bangs!! watch yer replies as i can delete yer ass from here hahahahahahahahaha..........muhahahahhaha. cough* ahem!!
I would have a go for you, but you saw my efforts at superimposing lamp pods on the front of my car, plus you took the piss out of me, so nah!
I believe Mike Kitson is having his F2 bumper fitted with spots (more than intuition - i've got the spots for him:D ) I'm not sure if he posts on here, or just smartpoops - if you want i'll get him to mail you and see what's involved
who died and made you moderator Brendy? :p
:D :D :D :D

apparently it was elvis!!but noone believed he was dead for ages!!
I reckon it'd be a nice twist on the standard f2 bumper, though, would the fibreglass be strong enuff to hold it and keep its beeam straight.
thankyou very much, ladies and gentlemen, thankyou very much:rockon:
fibreglass is up to the job, tht's all mine are held in by - had to take my bumper apart yesterday so the mould could be taken
it may be modded more by the time it goes back on...

Scotty, you getting all this done for buck shee? (free) cause otherwise you must be minted!!, the only thing im worried about is whacking the bumper of the ground sometime by accident and a light popping off!!
lets just say i'm doing a Dave Arthurton Special ;)
and I'm certainly not minted! - jammy maybe:D
I haven't found any probs at all with mine grounding, however it does have quite a short front.

How do you get into something like that, id love for someone to do all the work for my car, even at cost price!! its the labour that takes the piss!!
just luck, my mate started his own business modding cars, and wanted a couple nice ones to advertise it - just so happend that i've got the newest car out of my mates (and the best looking - its a SEAT, what else?:D ) But if you want to keep costs down I recommend you find a garage that is small and interested in doing the work - its like my mates, he might not have courtesy cars or flash premises but he knows his stuff and enjoys it. Which means most of the time he does something just to see it work rather than make a buck.
