My standard beezer cupra (1.8 20vt, 2001Y, 11k) is nearly 2 1/2 now, and I feel some mods coming on. I have a couple of questions I'm sure you lot can answer for me though:
1) Revo v Jabba- which is better? Bearing in mind I will tell my ins co regardless (paranoia!)
2) what's the likely power boost for a 156bhp beezer cupra?
3) For either, should I worry about fitting an intercooler or uprating the brakes?
Ta in advance,
Alex.

Uprate brakes before this is the best advice. For comparisons there are lots of previous threads with power claims.
You don't need a new IC, but it will give you better gains.
As always agree with Ed, do the brakes 1st.

Brakes and suspension should be high on th elist of mods before more power.
Define "Better" tho. - Value? Performance? Cost?

Both Jabba and revo seem to be excellent chippers. The main difference in my opinion is that Revo give you a generic map, whereas jabbasport talor the map to your specific car and preferences.
For a standard car theres probably very little difference in the power gains they will give, but if you have other mods then Jabbasport can make a map that gets the best out of them. Also, if you add more mods at a later date Jabba will do you another map to take advantage of those mods at a big discount price.
Bottom line, both are excellent.
Cheers

Thanks for the help, guys.
Seems sensible to look at the brakes ans suspension before thinking about power. Will do some research, I think!
Alex.
:D
yep - you want to do brakes and suspension...I haven't and need too :o

It's a personal thing aswell,Jabba are a team of like minded enthusiasts who aren't going to rip you off. They give you "before" and "after" print outs ( always useful in barroom wranglings) and as it says above it's a true bespoke remap not just a off the shelf one. For these reasons and more I've decided to go for it just gotta get some miles on it yet!!!!

ive had revo and cant fault it, my reason for choice was that revo is 1 hr away, jabba is 3 1/2 hrs!!!! Also Revo is completly stealth. "Chip Wot Chip??" But u gonna declare so doesnt matter
:( Revo isn't compleatly stealth, VAG COM can spot it it can even spot the demo version. so if they want to find it they will, so take care it's not just the insurance that is void. :(
