Hi,

I just spoke to Star Performance and they're getting the APR DPP stuff next week. It sounds pretty good. Total cost is £705 inc VAT for the programming (£449exc) and cruise control (£150exc). The CC is used to control the programs as well. There's a nifty security feature where you can set a 4 digit code that has to be keyed (through the CC) before the car will start! They said they can also do up to a 10 hour demo and that once this has expired the full program can be re-enabled by keying in a specific code that APR supply on receipt of payment. All in all it sounds really good and it's also in Scotland! :) I'm very tempted I have to say!

Cheers,

Deeko.

So is this baisically the same as Revo? Undetectable, same sort of power output etc? I thought i had read somewhere that APR had something to do with Revo, so why compete?

I would take that with a pinch of salt at the moment.

Another APR dealer was told 2 weeks about 5 weeks ago!.

Still time will tell.

Cheers,

APR are across right now, but they are tied up with something, cant think what, anyway they will be sarting the serial stuff from next week, a certain someone with an R was first in line to get done but he's lost his spot due to fecking off out the country. Couldnt handle the embaressment of my TDI powering past him..;)

Anyway i digress, stuff looks the biz, you get a 10hour demo too, and they have produced vag com type software so you can download info on to a laptop. Quite handy if you are a number junkie.

Prices are competative, shame they havnt taken the chance to under cut, they must be confident that the competition will not last.

Yeah...it really does look good...the security immobilisation itself is worth a few bob.....I'll probably nip over I think to get cruise and the 10 hour demo and see how I get on! It is a pity they haven't siginificantly undercut though. If it was £300inc they'd get 10 times as many people buying it...I guess you're maybe right about what they think of the competition though...

Cheers,

Deeko.
