Well....finally did the deed last Monday. Taken so long to get around to posting due to being soooo busy (moving house, bathroom rebuilding, kids, work etc!!!). Just a quick note about my experiences of the day and how the car feels.

Well, Monday morning saw me scoot up the A1 to Jabba from home, which is about 40miles. Got there about 9:15 - they were already pretty busy but soon started work fitting the boost controller and prepping the car, almost straight away. Useful to have the ECU out - factory dood hadn't fitted things together quite right as is usual!

Anyway onto the rollers and talk about picking the hottest day of the year for doing this! Amibiant temps outside were like 28, and on the rollers, behind closed doors it was pushing well into the 30's(!) So what were the results? A respectable 223 bhp and 230 ftlbs torque. Given the temperatures (induction temps were pretty high - 50 @ idle and quite a bit higher after a run!) this suits me sir!

Saw Bill's car there, and there was Golf having IHI mod. I was impressed with Mike's attention to detail and knowledge. So how does it drive? Well the difference is significant. Even with the boost turned down to 0.7 bar (stock) the throttle behaviour is better (more progressive) than original. On full boost the pull is phenominal, every gear seems stronger than a lower gear on stock boost.

Well recommended upgrade ;)

Hi Mark- yep will do. Did you get my mail?

I've realised like you and Timbo that I might need a suspension and brake upgrade...sometime soon. Oh and some new upholstery, had a bit of trouser moment. Realised I was going tooo fast mid corner and the corner gets sharper. Therefore had to brake mid corner (oh dear) and had the ESP going beserk. This is normally on a corner I accelerate through....

LOL :D . We should all get together again for a mini-meet. RobG's having his Cupra Jabba'd next month as is a friend of mine with an Octavia RS.

Probably look to doing something towards the end of July?

We should all get together again for a mini-meet.

Excellent idea- end of July suits me nicely. I move in to our new house on Tuesday, then I've got my sister arriving from SA at the end of the week with her kids for 2 weeks.....

I'll start the bidding at the end of July. RobG's getting Jabba'd in the next few weeks- I'm sure he'd like to come along.

Any evening bar Fridays ( :drink: ) is good for me.

might be worth transfering this onto a local meets type thread to attract more attention. I'm not sure what i'm doing as yet, so i'll let you know, but the 30th sounds better.
