View Full Version : Ilkeston Co-op Pride Park Derby
This is my nearest service centre for my Leon 20VT Import. When I got collected my car I went to see the service manager to arrange a fix for a small problem the car had on delivery. His desk was covered in post-its and as I ordered a spare remote key and he noted my details on another post-it note I knew I wouldn't hear from him. That was the end of Jan 2001, it's Dec 2001 now and he hasn't called back even though I've chased it twice FFS. The car was returned dirty from its 1st service, the courtesy car had the fuel warning light on when I was given it (and when I returned it too) and my fluttering turbo was diagnosed as normal. I read on this forum since then that it is most probably the Divert Valve which I will change myself.
I'm afraid I can't recommend this dealer. The only problem is my next nearest is probably Stoke.
Try them... don't know about the service side thou!!
just a better attitude...
And when I sell my Passat they will be getting an order for my Leon Cupra!!

Ilkeston pride park SEAT are a disgrace. I rang them up on sunday to enquire about a silver 20vt ibiza they have at £10995. I had been to Lookers in Manchester on sunday and they gave me a part ex price of £4100 for my 8v Ibiza. I told this to pride park SEAT and they assured me they can match that price right now without even seeing the car. Anyway, they rings me monday morning to say they have HPI'd my car and there is "no problem at all giving me £4100 for my 8v". Sweet i thought. OK, i'll go over and make the treck to Derby, take half a day off work and fill the car full of petrol. I gets there, test drives the cupra 20vt and then goes in to see what deal we can do. He asks what figure im looking for, i say 10500 for the ibiza with 6 months tax and a full tank of pertol and thats with them giving me £4100 for my ibiza like they said on 2 occasions. Anyway...he goes away for 20 mins or so, comes back, and says, right- i can only give you £3800 for your car, NOTHING off the price of the 20vt ibiza, NO TAX, and NO PETROL. Would he like to take my pants down while im there maybe? How mad would you be? That was the deal, take it or leave it. He would not do anything. He even got his boss, and he was as much an arsehole as him. So i just walked out. Wasted half a day off, wasted journey, fuel and time.
They must think "ahh he's coming from Manchester so he will buy the car coz hes travelled so far" -wrong dickheads!
Mike. What a bunch of F*****g W*****s Thats a disgrace, I am pretty rapidly lsing my patience with SEAT, they are by far the worst car company I have come across in 13 yrs of car ownership!

I rang a dealer just down the road from the Derby dicks this morning, and they said they have had a complaint this morning about the EXACT same nature of complaint as mine regarding SEAT Derby. Tossers.

Hey Mike, I am pretty good at writing to SEAT Uk now after my problems and until peeps keep doing it then it aint gonna stop!
Copy it to SEAT Spain as well, so that SEAT UK cant sweep it under the massive carpet!

I'll give them a go. Ive tyred 5 dealers now who are all struggling to find me a 20VT ibiza in silver.

I purchased my Silver 20vt from Seat at Pride Park in Derby and I have had no cause to complain about them. Everthing I have asked them to do has been done.
