Put some 17s on my beezer cupra the other day off my mates golf they looked the nuts, but at the rear the wheel looked really really close to the side skirt, is this a problam? will they run ok? or will i need some work done?
Hi,
What iīve heard the tire will bump into the "wheel house" in the back when your car is loaded with people, or if you have alot of things in the trunk!
Donīt know if the "wheel house" is the right word, but I guess you know what I mean :)

It shouldn't be a problem if the wheels have a PCD of 4x100, and an offset of around 38mm.
Its pretty close to the skirts (a few mm's clearance)....but its never rubbed on mine even with a full load.
I thought that 17's went straight on with no problems?

It does if you have the right PCD/Offset/Tyre combo.
If not....then you could be doing some damage to the suspension struts/wishbones that you don't even know about!!
