anyone heard of a map sensor for a LCR? my local garage plugged my car into vag com ad reckon this is the fault, they are quoting me £67 for it bofore vat! so i rang w livingston seat dealers and the parts guy and a mechanic both said they had never heard of it??! anyone any wiser? and know what map stands for??

MAP is Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor - goes in the manifold I believe and reports the pressure which is used along with the MAF to calculate the fuel needed for the given load and engine speed

perhaps they really do mean a maF ????

common issue on the lcrs as far as i'm aware (done mine last year try speaking to Jim at GSF for a price :)

fit it yourself in 2 mins
