Gunners linked with keeper swoop (from Teamtalk)
Arsenal are being linked with a move for keeper Oscar Cordoba, after his club Boca Juniors reportedly agreed a £3,500,000 fee for his services.
The 31-year-old Colombia international would be keen on joining Arsenal, after admitting he wants to play for a top European club.
In the past few days, reports in Argentina claimed that Bundesliga outfit Hamburg were interested in Cordoba. Hamburg, though, only bid half of the amount reportedly offered by Arsenal.
The Gunners are reportedly keen to sign a new keeper with doubts surrounding the long-term future of David Seaman. The 38-year-old veteran has seen limited action this year after failing to overcome a troublesome shoulder injury, and with back-up Richard Wright also struggling for fitness and form, Wenger has had to call upon rookie Stuart Taylor to play in the England duo's absence.
Cordoba, for his part, is looking forward to finish his outstanding football career at a European club.
