Used this product for the 1st time recently and have to say despite rave reviews from people on here I was dissapointed :(

It left shed loads of white dust residue and made an absolute mess of any rubber it came into contact with, I still have places where it's stuck in grooves (around handles, roof rack rails etc...)

Something I did wrong? Or are the paste waxes all like this?

Cheers,
A

Yeah it does leave a white dust thats for sure but so does the liquid version. Ive used both versions and I think the paste is much harder work so Ive stuck to the regular liquid, much easier to wipe off, especially if its warm and sunny! :)

Not used Meguiars (I use "Mothers" Carnauba in solid form) but it shouldn't do this.

Sounds like you're using far too much.... you need very little ~ just spread it.

Use smoothe peanut butter ~ rubbing it in with your fingers or an old toothbrush to get rid of white residue on plastic. (Yes really :) Waxwizard trade trick  )
