Hi,
Need some help with rear drum brakes on '96 1.4 Ibiza.The car suffers from excess pedal travel before any braking effort is felt. On removing the rear drums (2clicks on handbrake,back wheels can still be turned) I was expecting to see a adjuster gear which I could advance to take up the slack.
No adjuster to be seen.
Anyone familier with this set up, do these cars have another way of compensating for rear shoe wear(the linings have plenty of meat left on them BTW).Or should the gear type adjuster be there.
