hi, what gains would i get from a remap for my leon cupra (180) 2004 with a ramair induction kit and thinking of doing a full decat, miltek probably. what sort of increase would i see???
cheers

You'll get 210-215bhp with a stage 1. But if you get the downpipe you should realy go for the stage 2 which will prob give you 230-240bhp and stronger torque.

and how much will a stage 2 cost me and what else do i need for a stage 2??
cheers

You will have to get a price off Will but members get 10% off.
Recommended mod for stage 2 are: Filter and intake (Forge TIP), down pipe and FMIC.
I have a stage 2 p-torque and its awsome. Here is my graph

would i have to get a fmic??

Its recommended. But you could always cet the map done then save for the intercooler.

Strange thing about the graph is the torque - I've got a Stage1 map from Will and although only showing 215bhp it got 250lb/ft torque on the rollers ... wonder if the Stage2 would dial down the torque on mine to get the ponies?
Mods are Stage1 (generic) map, Pipercross induction kit and Bailey DV30

That is a high torque value, Kev. Dont forget good old dyno lottery ;)

but would i have to remap my car again to suit the fmic??

No, it will just hold power higher up the rev range better mate.
You'll get a reply from Will in the morning with everything you need to know.

Yeah - going to get a 2nd RR done at AmD next month ... Will reckoned I'd see 205-210bhp with the map and was surprised when it got 215 on the rollers :)

I'm getting mine on the rollers again in 2 weeks and they are the same a Will's rollers so hopefully I'll pull the same numbers, 229bhp & 244lb/ft.

is it worth me getting a miltek cat back exhaust system before the remap or should i just wait til i can afford a full decat system??
Damoegan
09-01-2009, 21:43
I'd recommend getting all the mods you can before you got for the map.
cupra.rich
09-01-2009, 21:48
but will a cat back actually make a difference compared to a full decat?
Damoegan
09-01-2009, 21:51
It will make a small difference but it is a larger down pipe that realy makes the difference.
I'll be getting a down pipe before a cat back.
cupra.rich
09-01-2009, 21:53
ok, would the downpipe make more noise than getting a catback system?
cupra.rich
09-01-2009, 21:58
also is this the best system to get as it has a downpipe aswell??

That is prob the one I'll be going for, unless I go custom. It will be louder but I dont know how much mate.

The downpipe is a seperate part to the cat back. I got the cat back first as was told I could later fit the downpipe, but couldn't do it the other way round (can't fit the Milltek downpipe+cat onto the standard cat back).
The non-res cat-back makes a much nicer sound than standard, pretty subtle until around 3200rpm, then it gives a real nice sound  The downpipe+cat didn't make much of a difference in sound..maybe a tiny bit louder and more turbo noise.
