Bleed valve....

Can anyone tell me a bit about a bleed valve? a friend said i needed one (for the ibiza turbo)..just wondering what they do!! how much are they and do i REALLY need one? thanks for any suggestions

its a way of turning the boost up - dont think its a good idea on our engines though

Don't work on the VAG motors from what I recall, only way to reliably get more boost (and more importantly fuel) is an ECU upgrade.
