hi,

just wondering whats best i can get hold of anywhere really to clean my FMIC, as i'm going to paint it black, but need to get rid of all the crap off it

As I said boss, try using Surfex HD neat ;) What about oven cleaner if you wanna do it pikey ;)

Also, IIRC, someone mentioned in a thread Sparky posted about cleaning his FMIC to soak the pipe in petrol and set on fire to clean IIRC

Yeah, Surfex HD to clean and degrease it. I'd try it diluted 4:1 first and see how you go, use it with some paint brushes to agitate the stubborn dirt, just go easy easy on the fins. Then rinse it off with water.
