Hi

I've recently bought an 02 plate onvi Ibiza cupra, it has the standard tape head unit, but no cd changer. When I asked the dealer about fitting an aftermarket one, he said you have to fit a seat one. I was hoping I could fit an MP3 changer, anyone know if I can, or if I can fit a non-seat one.

You can fit either a sony or an Alpine changer with an adapter...

Most ICE stores will be able to help you out.

The Sony option would probably be the best route as they do not specify things like "shuttle bus" or "AI - Net" connections, which is a problem with Alpine and most OEM changer packages are quoted with a "shuttle bus" changer connection and is not currently available as an MP3 playing unit. Whereas Sony just use a simple "Uni - Link" connection and you will be able to use a Sony CDX - T70MX with an AVGS007 - MK2. Various prices installed around the £310 - £340 mark.
