View Full Version : Component advice pls....
...I've come to the conclusion that either:
a) My Boston comps are crap
b) I have my system setup wrong
I'm leaning towards a) :(
What are popular choices for Ibizas? Budget around the £200 mark max...
And where can I get hold of some proper adaptors for the doors...
Cheers!

Autoleads offer the adapters... details on the icecavern forums somewhere...
as for components, i have the genisis Audiophile A16's in mine and they sound great. (£220)
Boston Components are pretty damn good IMHO,it will probably have more to do with the Amplification and H/U you are using to supply them.
My diamonds sounded crap when I first got them, due to them needing bedding in time and a abysmal amp powering them at the time.Still they sound the dogs bollox now:D

Should be ok with the RF amp surely? Perhaps it's the installation, currently glued and bodged onto the factory mountings :)

"currently glued and bodged onto the factory mountings "
I think it might be the installation and setup mate that's all...
Get hold of some autoleads adapters and see if that makes any difference. What worries me about what you just said is whether the glue or something else has damaged the mids in some way.

My Boston Pro's sound sweet as, running off my JL Audio amps. Listened to a lot before I made my choice:D
I highly rate Boston Pro component speakers - I've had mine for years and still sound great IMO
I'll have a look at them tomorrow for ya.
