Hi everyone,

after christmas i am taking on the wonderfull job of installing my hifi system in my Arosa, ive got some questions which if anyone could answer i would be gratefull.

1) best place to route 4 gauge power cable?

2) routing high quality speaker cable into doors, is it possible to get to the drivers side cable assembly without having the dash out?

3) the arosa boot being small....whats the possibilty of utilising the spare wheel well maybe for some parts of the system?

4) the original front speakers are riveted in...will these need drilling out and saome mdf templates making.....this is what i was thinking of doing as my speakers are 5 inch JL coax's

the system is as follows

alpine 7939r + changer
Pheonix gold line driver
pheonix gold eq 215ix equaliser
caliber amplifier - JL audio XR 525 cx front speakers
caliber amplifier - boston acoustics 10 inch pro subwoofer
pheonix gold bass cube

cheers guys

Right, as a former Arosa Driver (the amount of times ive said that, oh the momery's!)

Your right about the original Door speakers being riveted in, you will have to drill these out, although when i had the install in mine they where pretty good as they are, As far as the dash ones, those are crap, change to some decent tweeters !!! Id recommend taking the power from the engine via the passanger side, if you double up behing the glove box (remove if you have the tools) theres a gromet, do the old wire coat hanger trick and get the power through that. There is also plenty of trim to take the cables to the rear. (side of seats).
The spare wheel well in the Arose a hugh so the chance of utilising this for some equipment is pretty high, just make sure its very secure!!

As far as routing the cable, this is pretty easy, again double up at the botom of the dash youll see a gromet (lots of gromets nowadays) lading directly into the door. Take the door trim of and hey presto.

Hope this helps ???

yeah that did help thanks, the problem i saw with getting cable into the doors was on the drivers side as the grommett doesnt seem to be accessible that easy....but i guess with enough attempts i will manage it!!

cheers
