Having really enjoyed yesterdays racing I was just wondering what SEAT will be involved in next year.

I know the winning driver wins a drive in the European touring cars or summat but where will we be able to see these races in Britain and will there be anything similar to the SEAT cupra championship based in England?

I know that SEAT are tied into a 2 year deal with the championship

I guess that there will be some new drivers in it too, some will stay, some will go

Donnington Park has recently seen the British round of the ETCC, reported on this site. Its likely it will be on again at Donnington next year, most definately will be a British round, but as its ETCC, its only the one British round, everywhere else is in Europe.

As far as were aware too, the SEAT Cupra Championship looks to be at least a 2 year plan, so we may see more Leon action in the UK next year, possibly later becoming a team based motorsport, like the Supercopa series in Spain.

yes, 2 year plan, with ETCC being a confirmed 3 year plus plan.

The winner of the cupra championship will race with a team mate, possibly Jason Plato in 2004 for a SEAT Sport UK team. Its not clear if that team will have the 2003 ETCC car's or new chassis.

In addition, there are a couple of ETCC Toledo's running in Sweden, so one can assume that there could be 2 chassis next year if the Swedes also upgrade....and as BTCC allows ETCC car next year theres a 1% possiblilty you could see one of those in the series.

ETCC should be at Donny next year, has a long contract.

also, SEAT Spain run Toledo GT's in there GT championship and also Cordoba's (same as toledo underneath). Rumours from Spain continue to suggest that SEAT will run one of these in a UK round of the GT champiosnhip,,,although nothing has been confirmed or even muttered on this side of the pond, but maybe next year?
