can you confirm what car you have...

Yes we could sort something out on a buy of over 5 bars,.

Now you tell me... we tried to get 10 people to do a group buy a while ago and we only got about 8 so we didn't bother. In the end (A few weeks ago) I just bought the ARBs at full price (Well 10% SeatCupra.net discount)!

Just to give some feedback though, the ARBs arrived next day as promised, and they look top quality. I got them fitted last weekend and went to a trackday on Saturday, and I can confirm that they have made the handling MUCH better. Passengers in my car used words like "Go-Kart like handling"! :D

Excellent service from Awesome, and an excellent product too.

Cheers

he's got a cordoba coupe

so basically a mkII golf setup (but he'll need drop links to fit the rears)

right thanks,... i'll quote for a Mk2 then

Front 22mm £175
Front 25mm £150

Rear 25mm £145
Rear 28mm £175

(+vat)
and we can do a discount as mentioned b4

The rears come with the drop links but you'll probably need to modify them to fit.

What would you recommend for the Leon?

awesomeade
15-07-2003, 09:26
25mm...

£185 front/rear (respectively) for the Leon (assuming this is the same as a golf in respect to ARB since the US doesnt have the Seat's

BenS1
15-07-2003, 13:05
On the Ibiza I fitted 25mm front and 28mm rear. The handling is MUCH better now, and I've yet to notice any negative effects. I'd of thought with the Leon being heavier you'd want your ARBs to be atleast as stiff, but then I don't know how stiff it is to begin with.

Cheers
Ben

do the ARB's need to be installed at the same time (i.e. front n rear) as its alot to do both at once or can they be done one at a time?? Any negative effects in doing so?

prc
21-08-2003, 23:58
On the Leon/toledo no. Actually most (90%+) do rear only as the front is already rather big (23mm).
On the beeza I'm not sure but if my mk3 golf serves as example "HELL YES"!
My mk3 golf came w/ a 19mm front bar & no rear bar. Stuck on the rear neuspeed bar 1st ======== Serious oversteer!!

There's a very good FAQ on ARB over in the vortex forums. I'll try finding it again.

Sorry for the delay replying... We're currently relocating the IT side of the company and havent been able to go on the forums, answer email etc....

Also we have several group guys ongoing through out several forums at the moment so once they finish i'll quite happily get going with some more :)

Front one is more difficult IMHO. Certainnly if it's the first front ARB you have done.

It's also not just a case of plonking it on. You ideally have to line it up so the same thread on each of the rosejoint connectors are showing and make sure it doesn't foul on the driveshaft gator.

The tangs are also an arse but I found a cunning way roud locating those....but you need a pit really...

There is still some noticible roll, if it stiffens it up a bit more then it will be even better, and to be honest their isnt a lot i can buy to mod this car, call me indulgent, but its a hobby and i fancy spending something on my car :D

Getting hold of one is difficult enough. Bite the bullet mate and go buy one.

Do what I'm doing Jason - applying for a 9 month interest free credit card:D Might as well use that one rather than my current one, although I do pay it off in full every month. I worked out that if I did all the spending on a new interest free card I could have £500+ saved up by the end of the term for something else.

from your seperate post in this forum, it seems getting one on its own
is no faster, and it seems a shame that there are over 5 people that want them
qualifying for a group buy...
