Have been watching the way my cupra chews up its tyres and starting to think of what to replace the fronts with. Has anyone any experience of alternatives to the factory fit. It uses the same size as my Elise does on the rear and on that I have gone from P Zeros through Yoko 539 to Bridgestone SO2's whith little change in grip but much improved wet handling and no loss of dry grip.
Anyone tried alternatives?

Mine came with Continentals from new (import), which I am very pleased with - no sign of appreciable wear after 5000 miles and seems to handle well both wet and dry, although I have nothing to compare with. I'll probably get the same again when these wear out - may be worth a look.

I've heard from a few peeps that Toyo Proxes (T1-S I think from memory) are sticky as sticky sh!t and good value as well...

Yeah, I know - it's a bit difficult to chuck it around when you've got a 4 month old baby in the car :-(
