hiya everyone, could anyone guide me in the right direction on getting a d-cat pipe! i own a ibiza 1.8 20vt, which has been chipped and i have also got a milltek system on it. its pushing out 203.5bhp at the mo and 260torque, i just dont want 2 melt my cat pipe like other people have, hope u can help lads, cheers!

How much torque?
What chip is that?

its 258 torque, and its an amd chip, all dynod by amd aswell

Phew! loads of torque... Whats the delivery of it like? Spikey torque which declines or high and sustained.
There is a thread on here somewhere about a supersprint downpipe/decat pipe soon to be available... John-B is your man.

Do you have any of the "holding back" problems on your car?
I ask because all the other chips seem to have overboost problems that send the ecu into a emergency mode for a sec and then the car drives normal.
see the older threads on "cupra turbo problems" in the ibiza section
I was going to go for the amd option, how much was it? Good service?
I'm probably going for the AMD chip in the new year.
Bill, in answer to your question regarding torque, the AMD chip peaks at 258ft/lb @ 2900rpm, falling to 220ft/lb @ 3400rpm. It reamains around 205-220ft/lb untill 4950rpm where it then starts to drop off. (150ft/lb @ 6000rpm)

i don't suppose you know what boost its running durin the rpm range do you? Do you have aboost guage fitted?

No, sorry bill. I guess it will be similar to your Oettinger.
I don't have a boost gauge fitted no, but may think about when I get the chip done.
Let's hope I don't get dissapointed by the AMD chips @ the RR sesh.
By the way, who else has got a Ovni Yellow Cupra in Chelt? I keep seeing it around my way. It also looks lowered (very nice, I must get that done, its amazing how different it makes the car look, as well as all the handling benefits :) ).
It might be Bens ?

Bens is'nt local unless he's visiting Amethyst. If its a black wheels Ovni yellow one, then thats me... I've been around Chelt a few times lately.
I have'nt seen another one.....

Nope, his is/was Red. There were the brothers that were at the Castle Combe day. The one who owns it was a short guy, white/blonde spiky hair. I expect his is now lowered? Swinny/Daz would know.
