View Full Version : Speed Sensitive vloume
Is it 'normally' in the speaker loom, or is it part of the stereo?

part of the stereo on seats mark - you can adjust the level of fade and gain on one of the buttons - can't remember which as it drives me crazy and the stereo usually gets chucked into a dark corner!:D
phew that's OK then!
i like to choose how loud i want it when I'm static, not letting it tell me.
i binned the stereo in the ibiza before i even turned it on

slightly different but sort of related...
Anyone know how to adjust the tuner volume and CD volume so that they are the same, so that the sudden increase in volume changing to the CD dosnt pop my ears...

Missed this one first time around - it's controlled by the stereo. Input is via a little small 6 (?) way connector somewhere near the 2x 8 way ISO connectors on the loom. If you're talking about the Cordy that is. Disconnect this idiot clip and you lose the feature. What I don't know is whether the stereo would then adjust to the lower threshold or the upper one. From memory, there is a setting on the OEM stereo to determine how aggressive the speed sensitivity is too. Not sure if you can dial it out completely in this manner...

Not sure you can on the standard set up Russ. It is a pain, my old Alpine unit had a setting but I don't think i've seen it in the program menu in the Ibiza.
exactly... aftermarkets stuff i've had you could but havent managed it on this.
