Hi Guys...

I popped in to my local Revo approved garage... and got the details you should need for my ecu...

Car is an '02 Passat V6 TDI Manual.

ECU code is

3B1 907 401B

Hope this help.... Really interested in how Mark is getting on with his, and if he has sorted the bugs... er sorry current 'Features' ;)

Kindest Regards

M.

I personnally drive the very same vehicle but with tiptronic. However the ECU number is exactly the same. I am running the beta version code which is very good over stock. We have to make a few revisions for the manual version and hopefully both codes with be released by the end of August?

best regards

I have a friend who has a Audi A6 2.5 TDI (150bhp) also, I guess this is the same engine ?

If so he's interested in getting it Revo'ed

Thanks for the update Mark... have you had it on the R/Road yet? any ideas on hp and lb/ft gains....

Would be nice to see a beta software rr graph.... But I know how long the CupraR boys were waiting for theirs ;)

Would love a cupraR but love the TDI fuel sipping ability too much!

Have you noticed how diff the fuel economy is?

Can you tell me the characteristics of the diff between stock Vs. Revo?

i.e. stock is full lb/ft @ 1500rpm v revo's ...

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

The other thing is, dou you know if the v6tdi has twin intercoolers like the Audi?? if not, will it suffer badly with heat soak?

Car feels like it has lots more torque over stock and pulls from way down. I cannot comment on the actual performance gain by way of figures and will leave this until we put it on the dyno.

With regard to fuel economy, I see 32mpg overall with around 38-41mpg cruising between 80-95mph. Before i ran the software I saw around 33-34 overall! Please remember that the car is a tiptronic.

rhumber, sorry I missed your post. Yes once we have my passat finished we will look at the A6 as it is the same motor if it is the 150 BHP.

Yes he does have the A6 2.5 TDI 150bhp.

I see the new ones are 163bhp and 180bhp for the quattro version.

Rhumber, not wanting to question too much, but I honestly think you will find the Audi version is 155bhp, there are slight differences...

Not sure if this is ECU or engine internals, but 99% sure they are 155bhp...

Mark, looking forward to the release of code.. Shame I cannot trial it, guess I will have to drive all the way to see you, and you can take me out for a few.. I find the v6 engine is great once rolling, but does suffer if you get caught in the wrong gear, and have to wait for spin-up...

Kindest Regards,

M.

Mark, in your opinion, do you think your car would now benefit from suspension setup changes to deal with the power, or does it put it down to the road successfully??

3 cars ago, I had an Audi A6tdi 110, (now you'll laugh!) that I had a new ecu fitted (it was from sup@rchips that everyone seems to hate, but I quite liked), anyway, after this, the audi suffered really badly with torque steer, I lowered it 35mm, and it seemed to really let the power get to the road, instead of the traction cutting in all the while.

Kindest Regards,

Matt.

Standard passats have the handling of a yacht, so yes it would help with a suspension package. The weight of the v6 also makes roundabouts interesting (Marks front tyres will vouch for this)

The A6 and Passat engine types are all very different and each combination will require serious tuning. The 180 A6 has already proved very difficult to gain much power from. The Passat codes will come first and then we will re-visit some A6 codes.

Any news on the v6 tdi software??

I agree about the handling of a yacht!!! I have a eunos roadster as the project / toy car and intend on keeping the passat as standard as is possible, just interested in how successfully it puts the power to the ground??

Would be really interested in some ball park power claims too!!

Thanks.

Hi there, any updates or chances of having a Leon Cupra 4 V6 revo'd one of these days?? I've seen a few companies that do an ecu remap or chip and gains are to the most 20bhp's. What are the possibilities of having the cupra 4 revo'd and what are the estimated gains?
