Hi P-Torque!

I'm looking to get a Stage 2 map for my LCR in the next few weeks and wondered if you guys could help.

I bought my LCR on the understanding that it had already been mapped and having had the car on the rolling road recently that is the case but it turns out the car is running dangerously lean! Not good news! After some research it seems the best thing to do is get the mods done that I'd intending on doing then get stage 2 map to fix the problem and get the best gains from mods.

Mods will then include Blueflame turbo back exhaust, THS turbo inlet pipe, K+N and forge 007dv.

I've spoken to Awesome GTI and they recommended their APR stage 2 map which costs nearly £600 after VAT! I want to get this right first time around and I am willing to pay this if its worth it.

I wanted your opinion if possible. How does the APR map differ to your stage 2? Is the extra cost justified? Will I get similar gains etc and can you turn EML off?

Last thing I want is to pay less for a stage 2 to end up with difficulties like I have at the moment. I'm sure I wont but you can understand my caution.

Any advice much appreciated. As I say map needs to be done asap as I'm goin to nurburgring in May and I need the car running sweet!

Thank you

Hi!

The P-Torque custom mapping is £395.00 all in, and takes approx 3 hours to carry out. It won't leave until its perfect.

Yes, we can remove the EML light for you :)

Can't comment on the other tuners maps, but if you search the net, you find that we tune VAG vehicles day in and day out. It will have the best power and reliability possible :)

Excellent that sounds like the news I was looking for.

What kind of figures would you expect to see with the mods I have?

I this effectively a live map rather than a stage 2 map? is there any difference or does the stage just really mean what mods it has done etc?

thanks for your help!

and do you have a rolling road at your place? will i have printed evidence of the work done? and is there any kind of guarantee on the mapping?

sorry for the perhaps unnecessary caution but aiming to get this done properly!

thank you

Hi

This is for a full custom map, not a generic stage 2.

Yes, we have a dyno, its not possible to custom map without one :)

The map is guaranteed to be safe, and within the engines tolerances

from your experience would you say i am likely to get 270bhp and 300+ftlb.

have you got any graphs from maps you have done in the past?

i think its time to pencil myself in for your map then Will!

will the second saturday of april be ok? will be the 11th.

only other concern i have is if something else is causing the car to run lean. I have been told to check the MAF since i have a k+n fitted. is this something i can check or would it be a case of replacing it?

also fuel pump and FPR and split hoses. if i cant check these are these parts you could fix on the day if necessary?

looking at the required hardware for certain stage 2 map its adviseable to have a 4-bar FPR is this right? wot does this do? will i need one for your map or will it be beneficial?

thanks for your help!

Hi

Yes, we can do April 11th

We can sort 90% of issues on the day, but keep in mind that we can't always get parts in time on a Saturday if we don't have them on the shelf ;)

You don't need to change your FPR

do you want me to phone to confirm or is that okay for the 11th now then?

would you be able to sort the MAF out if that is the problem? that is my only concern that it could be. or split hoses i suppose.

Hi

You can drop me an e-mail at info@p-torque.co.uk with your name, contact number and car details if you like, and I'll book you in.

We should have the MAF in stock. You can try unplugging it and going for a drive to test for improvement
