Anyone make these in a form which doesn't chop bit of bodywork?
If not I'm going to try and persuade my old man (just retired) to make up a pattern and produce some prototypes in light alloy.
Interested?
Dor.
I thought OMP listed one? If it's not them then it's Sparco from the DT rag.

Do they go straight on without modification?

No idea but surely if mods are needed then it's a poor design/badly manufactured cos there's nothing to get in the way.

Deends how you are bracing the turret i guess?
Dor.
except that carpet tab
Mark
a strut brace should be made to go round the side of the turret and not to sit on the top .

Exactly. So I want one that secures itself through a non-invasive / destructive method.
Dor.
fair ponit ! but if you want one then i think you will have to at least drill some holes !

Hehe,
My philosophy on newer cars has always been don't do anything you can't undo....
Dor.
dor/m0rk and me measured a polo one that bolts onto the turrets, fecking expensive mind, bet yer dad could knock up one cheaper.
basiclly 2 u bolts bolting into a bar, tighten to required rigidity.
sure m0rk can remember where from,i can't:confused:

Araldite is a bit stronger!
We put an (OMP?) one on my mate's XR2. Undo the two top mount bolts, drop it on, do them up, that was it. Seems a bit odd as it's not actually bracing the car chasis. Was cheap though.

Need to get the car back first!
Two weeks effectively knackered so far!
Dor.
Ive got a old VW magazine at home with a yellow beeza with one installed in a chromed finish.
looks good IMHO.
I will see if i can scan the pic at work next week
I'm getting my custom made roll cage soon, and one of the custom bits I'm asking for is a bar from the left rear mounting point to the right rear mounting point. This will be what i attach my harnesses to, and hopefully will also act as strut brace too.
I thought I heard a long time ago that the mk3 Ibiza would benefit a lot more from a lower rear strut brace than an upper one though.
Cheers
Ben

Rear one you guys are i think refering to comes from Dubweiser, fits with u clamps around the strut towers ,quite thick alloy tube. Also seen one that bolts below strut tops MK1 OR 2 Golf should fit. Andy. A triangulated Neuspeed MK1 rear might be worth a look, very trick. As for lower rear where would it possibly fit ?!
