Hopefully they will, but they aint the sharpest when it comes to making big business decisions.

There are no plans as yet and if they do it is probably at least a year away.

Can anyone explain what the benifit is of having a 206bhp V6 over a 210bhp 1.8T (i.e. The Leon Cupra R)?
Why have a 2.5litre engine when the 1.8 is more powerful?

I was speaking to a Seat Sales Person Yesterday and he told me that Seat UK are only going to import the 210 BHP FWD Leon into the UK and they have no plans to import the V6 or the 1.8T 4WD as they weigh upto 150 kg more than the 2WD 1.8T, Seat think that we in the UK prefer a more nible car.
This is true for me but i like grip too so why don't Seat just go the whole hog and bring out a 225 BHP 4WD 1.8T, as i am sure i will end up on a waiting list.

That would be ideal, but bearing in mind how easy it is to import a right-hand-drive UK spec 4WD anyway (and it saves you a few grand) why not do that?
Also, stick one of SJB sport's or AMD's superchargers on the 2.8 V6 Cupra 4 and you're looking at 300+bhp... Now there's a thought....

Seat are indeed planning on bringout out a 225bhp version of the Leon (Not sure if its 4wd though), and it will first appear on the Leon Cabriolet in 2003!
No idea how much it will cost though (See Leon Cabriolet topic for link to article showing the Leon Cabriolet and details.).

Seat UK are morons - if the factory is making RHD Cupra 4s why don't they just start importing them? They want to be the 'Sporty' arm of the VAG group so get them over here and let the public decide!
Let's see what they do when they see the number of people who start bringing in 'unofficial imports'. Doing themselves NO favours if you ask me...
Hey Whrrr, I think I'm warming towards the idea of a supercharger. Any chance of getting a group discount on some? http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/biggrin.gif

Toledo V5 - smashed up by wife
Leon 20VT - nicked by wife
Cupra 4 - on order but wife's not going near it!
Sounds like a good idea. How's it done?

cheers for all your comments , matt

Whrrr, what you'd need to do is get as many people as poss interested in the Supercharger then approach the supplier and ask for a quantity discount. If you could get at least half a dozen peeps interested i would hope you'd get a decent discount http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/biggrin.gif
Have you ordered the Cupra 4 yet then?
