Hi,

I had a mate who sound proofed the whole of his AX GT.
He bought some matting which was easily moulded using a hair dryer and stuck onto the floor under the carpets.

It was a bit of work, but had the desired effect.
I don't remember exactly how much it cost, but check out your local accessories store for Dynamat sound proofing.

It's not exactly cheap (£100 a roll-?ish), but nothing ever is.... and I'm sure it weighed a bit too.

Good luck...

:)

think brown bread is cheaper, cordypete says somewhere that 2 layers of this stuff is as good as 3 layers of most others!!

A good sound proofing material that you may want to try is Aquaseal Highband Flashing tape from B&Q (available in many different sized rolls - 10m x 100mm for £6.99) this price was from a year ago, so it may have changed by now.

this stuff is much cheaper and just as effective as the Dynamat stuff.

another good sound deading material is Carpet Underlay, the thick heavy duty stuff, £27-00 (carpet-world)

Or go to your local carpet dealer, speak to them nicely... they normally have loads of underlay offcuts which for them are useless but a good size for your boot!
