I am planning on selling my Civic Type-R and will be replacing it with a 225bhp Cupra R very shortly. Now I want an immediate remap to boost the power up but have a few questions regarding P-Torque.

1. I understand a Stage 1 remap can be done with no further modifications needed. However, if I went for a Stage 2 remap, do I need any further modifications or is it safe to run on a standard LCR?

2. What kind of performance figures can I expect to see with both a Stage 1 and Stage 2 remap (I am talking 0-60 sprints)?

3. I've also read that a remap improves fuel economy. Is this true as I would have thought "more power = more fuel"?

Thanks for any input.

Hi!

I will answer you questions in order:

1) Stage 1 is for standard cars. Our stage 2 requires you to have at least a full exhaust. Drop me an e-mail if you would like a quote for a remap/exhaust package.

2) In all honesty we haven't accurately tested 0 -60, but it will be vastly improved.

3) MPG will improve slightly when driving normally, or on a motorway run for example. If you drive it very hard, then MPG will be slightly worse due to the increased fuelling under boost

Any other questions, please ask ;)
