View Full Version : Ovni Yellow Clay and Wax Advice??
Forward the Attention of Rubbish Boy , I currently own a Ovni yellow Cupra R, and im wanting to give it a good detail, i was just wondering if a Clay with Born Slippy Clay Lube and Dodo Juice / Rubbish Boy's Juiced Edition Carnauba Wax with a Wax Applicator pad is a good combination.
PS: the polish im using at the moment is Autoglym high resin polish, is this up to the job or would you recommend something else, thanks in advance.

Yep, Juiced Edition does work very well on yellow. :D

If you go for the Bilt Hamber clay, you don't need the born slippy, just use plain water. Although you can still use the Born Slippy if you want to, for that little extra lube. The Dodo clays though do need to be used with the lube.
That picture above I used Dodo Juice Lime Prime to polish before waxing, which adds a little something to the finish, but your Autoglym super resin would work well too. The advantage of Super Resin is that it will fill and mask light swirls, the advantage of the Lime Prime being it adds a little extra wetness. But don't use both one or t'other. :)
Wash, clay, polish then a couple of coats of wax and it will look lovurley. :D
If you have 6 hour spare...
Wash
Clay
Wash again
Paint Cleaner
Polish
Glaze
Sealant
Wax.
I did this 2 weeks ago and the car looks brand new pretty much. I haven't washed it since, dirt doesn't stick to it and the use of a quick detailer gets off the dust and brings back that amazing shine. Beads like a Mother F**ker :D!
Thats Spot on that lads, when pay day comes ill treat myself so this is the correct order;
Wash (2 Bucket technique ;))
Bilt Hamber Auto Clay
Wash Again
Paint Cleaner?? What product should i use for this??
Autoglym Super Resin Polish
And a touch of Juiced with an applicator pad

Your Super Resin will act as a paint cleanser and polish. So:
Wash
Clay
Rinse and Dry
Super Resin
Juiced (by applicator) x 2 (a couple of hours apart) [B)]
If you're feeling flush or want some extra bling wipe down with Dodo Red Mist after the wax has had a few hours to cure (preferably 24 hours, but 3 or 4 will be fine). You can also use the Red Mist as a top up after a wash.
Cheers for all your help rubbish boy !!
 what a comment!
Watching too many Ice Cube movies :roflmao:
Stick a Glaze in their too (after the Super Resin). Chemical Guys EZ Creme Glaze is excellent on Yellow Cars.
