I tried using the SPS anti theft option the other day, instructions/website say the car should idle when it is enabled and the accelerator should do nothing. However when i start my car with it on, it starts and just stalls straight away:confused:

Not really a big issue since the security bit works, i just wanted to annoy my mate by leaving it idling on the drive with the keys in and say 'there you go, take it for a spin':D

Oh yes indeed, was gonna wait till it was wet too :yikes:

And I don't want to hear anyone complain about tramlining ever again. Just try grooved slicks on the A303 then you'll know what tramlining is all about :p

Hi Chris

That's how it should work, If you are llucky it will start, but idle very rough, and will eventualy cut out. If you try to start it again, it will not run.

When you switch the anti theft off, and start the car, it will run rough for a few seconds, then smooth out.

Well thats what mine does!

Cheers

That's what i thought until i read the revo website where it states the engine should idle but not accelerate!

If you speak to Richard at Revo, he told me that it should do exactly what you say is happening, so I think the instructions are not quite accurate regarding this.

Its probably just as well, since my car will quite happily get to about 25 mph using only the clutch, wouldn't be much of an anti-theft device if they could only drive it away slowly:D

So, are you saying that the car IS drivable at that speed?

No hesitations no nothing, just use the 800 rpm to move ?

Is goes ok just on idle, its a bit jerky when changing gear i suppose and you have to be real slow with the clutch.
