View Full Version : Throttle body air intake hose popping off...
The hose that feeds the throttle body on my engine rather helpfully decided to pop off on the M25 last night when I was doing silly speeds - boy was it a f*cker to drive !
Has anyone elses ever done this?
I'd just driven enthusiastically for the previous 4 hours so perhaps that may have been a contibutor...
...or should I just replace it with a jubilee clip?
Cheers,

I posted about this last week. When on a track day at hethel with high ambients (although not as high as the recent week) my hose popped off. I re attached it using the OEM crap spring clip but it came straight off again. Jubilee seems to be holding it at the moment. I think these high ambients just make the inlet temps hotter and therfore the rubber hose becomes more ductile.
I was quite interested to find that when watching 'Racing Rivals' on Sunday the Cupra Championship Leons have exactly the same problem!!!
...glad it's not just me.
It sounded SO bad when it popped off, sounded like an expensive repair bill
Will jubilee it on when I get a chance, the hose itself is pretty crap too - when will a Samco kit arrive! :)

Yeah, i must admit I thought i had an expensive repair bill when it happened at 120mph down the backstriaght of hethel!
I also wrote, that mine wanted to come off too, but i noticed it in time and replaced the clamp. No problems since then.
PS.: Leons already have jubilee clips on.
