Origin blue i are only available through the net or mail order. Try www.originbluei.com Ive got mine on order but won't be here til jan 11th due to high demand!
As for The morpheous Geodesy i think http://www.radarexpress.com/geodesy.html is a good bet.
These do lots of good radar detector's and sell MG and OBi.
Never seen either on the high street!
Go for the bluei its got tons of features over the MG! Got mine for £350:D
Origin as at yet not made a working unit they have sold to the public, the ones they have sold dont work.. some software problem. They have as yet not let me have one to review, why?
Morpheous on the other had offer a simple unit that does what it says on the box. They also have two new units coming out very soon, I have seen both and they will make the Origin look like something form the stoneage.
Radar Detectors are a very grey area, unless you pay around £400 + all you will get is something that will drive you mad.
To give you an idea, I have most of the radar detectors on the market sat on my shelf in front of me and the only one I will use in my car full time is the Valentine One.
GPS is the Morpheous Geodesy for me.
Jamming laser is the LE850, just behind my plate on the Alhambra... works every time..
Maybe if there is a get together for this group I will pop along with my Radar Gun and Laser gun and give you guys a demo of some of the kit.

Seems like too good an oppurtunity to miss.
I just got a Geod on demo for 14 days. Will do a full report for yall.
Hi Lee
Give it a few days to run the GPS engine in a little, may sound daft but the GPS side has to learn to get better.
I can tell you one thing, you won't want to give it back... they are great units.

Get my Origin bluei tommorrow so we can do a comparison Lee.
Let me know if the Origin works, mainly can you get it to upload the info from their site. They won't let me have one to review yet, don't know why because they did promise me the first press review, I have had loads of emails saying they can't get them to work.
Steve
Orb
Could you answer me a question, ive been looking at buying a detector of some sort, but have heard mixed reviews from different people, but having read the info on ur site, u rate some fo them quite highly.
Would you reccomend a Snooper 7/815 or the Geodesy???
Thanks
Saul, dont waste your money on the Snoopers. They is shite. Buy a Geod or a Bell, if you can afford a Valentine 1 is the way to go.
Does anyone know what the 3 cameras above the motorway are on the M40 just after j15 ? they look like they have infra red lights beside them ! ?

Don't quoteme but it sounds like one of those S.P.E.C.S distance timing digital speed cameras. There are two pairs of these in Gloucester. They time your distance between two points and give you a ticket if you were speeding. They can read your number plate I believe.
Cheers

Will do!
Hasn't arrived today and i can't get a responce from my calls.
They did say tho that it would either be today or monday,
Roll on monday!
I hope your Origin will be Ok. I have heard many bad reports from people in the know of this product, the reports are very dissapointing.
I have also contacted there Marketing man, A Mr Rock who at first seemed interested in doing something with the site and supplying us a demo model, he has now stoped responding to my emails, I feel the customer service is very poor.
Morpheous on the other hand is a different story, they even invited me down to their new premises on News Years Eve? Whilst the Corp Sales directory was busy helping refurbishing the place. Bloody marvelous people, the kind we like to deal with there.

Should have it before the 19th so I can show you at the RR meet,i asume you are going? (im going with mosser as my car is not here yet!)
Get your drift about the customer services, shite to say the least! Phone three times today and got the same answer "I can't help you so Ill get sum1 to ring you back who can" never got a call back.
Just like the xtra features of the origin and it looks a lot better.
If they take the piss ill send it back and demand a refund.

Tonight i got my origin blue i:D
Spent the evening fitting it and have a bit of a play.
Went for a drive and low and behold it didn't bloody shut up!
Think i had the pick-up set to far so it picking up camera's from 2000m away!
Change the setting to 800m........much better.
When driving it tells you how fast you are going, the direction and how many satellites you are locked on to.
I think you can get it to tell you what the name of the road is and what the speed limit is although at the moment it only says this when it has a camera near it and it goes itno "alert mode"
overall very impressed with it, Ccomes with v clear instructions and a Well built feeling to it.
Havent had any of the problems you mentioned Steve, PM me if you want any more info.
Got mine today after meeting with Tim Rock of Origin, took a long drive home to play with it..... Love it so far, will be working on a full review over this week to be posted on the UK Speedtrap Guide by 27th Jan.
Its going to be a top seller....
Steve
Unfortunately I don't have lodsa dosh atm to a Valentine1 and in NI there aint as yet any gatso cameras so the GPS SpeedTrap Detectors are a waste of money here.
I would however need a radar detect with Ku band due to the cops here using mobile gatso camera which afaik use the Ku Band.
Does anyone recommend a decent radar detector?
Snooper 815 perhaps?
I have a Bell Euro 550 that I wouldn't mind selling....as new, only a few months old and with all original packing, warntee and reciepts.....Was 400 new....looking for reasonable offers above 200.
Great bit of kit but I just bought a new house and need to buy furniture :-(
Rich
Thx m8 I've emailed you via the forums... I hope they work...

I agree with Orb on the fact that this is very much a 'get-what you-pay-for' area. A year ago I bought a RadioShack own brand in the US for $99. Boy did I think I had a bargain! Unfortunately I am now the proud owner of an infra red petrol-station-door-and-pelican-crossing detector! It picks up bloody everything and is almost as annoying as having a parrot with a stutter on the dashboard. If any of you are thinking of getting a radar detector, my humble opinion is to save the extra bit of dosh and get the Geod.
well thanks to rakh1 I now am the proud owner of his Bell 550 Euro:) working well especially on the first detection on an unmarks RUC car:) -- oops they are now the Police Service of Northern Ireland :) still really the same peeps just different name:)
I'm thinking of getting the LE-850 Laser Jamming system.
Does anyone know where it is possible to get these with additional transponders. Without having to buy the whole kit thrice.
I thought if I was going to get it I might as well go the whole hog and get 2 front mounted and one rear for all round protection.
Does anyone else have a similar setup to this?
Alex
Its better to buy two units, no real cost saving.
The one on the back will be hard to fit and may not work two well as there is too much to bounce the laser back, Numberplate and refelectors, I found it very hard to hide the back of my Alhambra
Steve
So by the sounds of it trying to protect the back of the car is going to be very difficult, because the Police would probably be aiming the laser nowhere near the transponder. Whereas on the front they are probably aiming lower down the car trying to get a reflection from the bottom of the windscreen downwards, the licence plate being the most likely aiming point.
Steve do you have two transponders on the front or just the one.
I felt that mounting one would not be good enough as it would have to be centrally mounted, whereas with two ideally I could space them evenly between the licence plate and the light cluster.
Alex...
Alhambra, one LE850 mounted just under the front number plate, well behind it with a hole in it.
Works a treat, tested with my own Stalker Laser gun up to 2000ft at at speeds of 110mph
I realy crap weather I also sometimes mount one inside the windscreen on rubber suckers so the wipers can keep its view clear.
I was hoping to turn up to the track day but as I have a slug of a motor I was hoping that I would be let in free in return for advice and demo's of the type of equipment out there and maybe even free tests to anyone that wants to test their jammers or detectors.
