Hi,
Just got a Alpine 9812RR from a user on here, its the first time I've ever got a head unit saying I need to connect the permanent live (yellow) straight to battery because of the high current draw.
The wire isn't very long though, certainly not to reach the battery, I'm going to plumb the yellow wire into the 12v feeds behind the drivers side lower dash.
Does anyone know what size gauge wire the lives are on these powerful head units? I've got loads of scrap wire hanging about but none of them are as thich as the alpine 12v.
Any ideas?
