whats the most milage have you ever had from a full tank off juice in an Alhambra?

The most we got out of ours (TDI 110) was about 520 miles
(all motorway)

I'm know I've cracked the 550 barrier but have had the MAF prob nearly all this year. MPG has improved since MAF fixed.

I now get 36 mpg cabbing it HARD doing a mix of town, m/way and country. Goes up to 40 mpg taking it easy.

Got 42 mpg from Southampton and back at 70/80 mph.

I reckon 650+ miles is poss from a tank at 70 mph on m/way.

650 miles on a full tank? Christ. must keep an eye on the trip counter more often, my 520 miles was a roughish estimate, thats still bloody good whichever way yer look at it:)

Tank holds 70 litres = 15.4 gallons and if @ 42 mpg = 646 miles!!

Can never stay at 70 mph tho cos it's easier to drive at 80 ish, less agg changing lanes etc.

I know mines a Leon, but I get between 440 - 500 miles from my tank (12 gallons). I have kept a record of MPG since bying the car using the "fill it up every time, and divide the mileage on tank by gallons filled", and it has risen from 39-40 when it was new to 43-46 in summer, dropping back to 41-44 in cold weather.
Best I've had was on trip to Scotland, 600 miles on tank @ 49mpg, worst is 36mpg at 125mph cruise in Germany.....

Do you get reduction in MPG in winter?

Yes!!! more air = more fuel... surely....

Its more the cold starts etc, like on petrol engines.

I understand the filling stations start selling winter deisel as we approach this time of year. The additives stop waxing etc. but also have a negative effect on MPG.

Just got 600 miles out of a 64.5 litre tank of diesel in the Bammer.

Nearly all motorway driving at 80/85 mph.

= 42.28 mpg.
