Please be aware that all UK spec Leon and Toledo now have thatcham 2 approval for the factory immobiliser.
When contacting your insurance company please quote TE2-1212/0301 as the approval code.

When did this come in from or is it approval for the existing system? I picked up my new Leon Cupra minus various bits which SEAT chose to leave off on May 1st...

According to the Thatcham website this came in from May 2001.

This approval came in in May 2001 with the introduction of the latest alarm software,
the very same that ment loss of memory seats

So does the Thatchum approval cover Pre May 2001 Leon's?
Can owners of Pre 2001 Leon's get a software upgraded for the alarm?

Hi guy's sorry to be a pain,
My seat leon cupra was first registered on the 1st March 2001. Does that mean I can't use the approval code TE2-1212/0301 For insurance purpose's ??
Would appriciate any help as my insurance is due and my quote's are ridiculously high.

interesting,! would the insurance companies not know this information theough when quoting for cupras
