What is your opinion about the best, or more suitable lubricants we should use on our Revoed 18T engine ?
I personaly use Motul 300 V COMPETITION 15W50
What is your recommendation? (perhaps REVO guys can also help)

I'm using the manuals recommedation for use in hot climates/towing/heavy use which is VAG502 Quantum fully synthetic.
I would think 15W50 is to thick for most in the UK. Deffo good for summer here.
I personally stuck with the same motul oil I've been using since 1st change, just reduced the intervals.

Most of the time for 1.8T engines VW recommends a VW 502.00 approved lubricant. In this case, I would recommend Motul 8100 X-cess 5W-40 for normal use or 8100 Ester E-tech 0W-40 for hard driving.
This is what also Motul recommends..

Do you live in Greece? I personally choose MOTUL 300V CHRONO and not COMPETITION because its the closest match to our engines and climate.
Of course there are others that prefer REPSOL as well, but even SEAT Greece advised me to use 0W40 and not 15W50.

i guess it depends what bhp your revoded 1.8t is pushing out. cos the audi tt 1.8t 180 bhp uses MOBIL SHC.
Where as the audi TT 1.8T 225 bhp uses MOBIL ONE.
Yes that is the right way around and yes it does seem daft. but there must be a reason for it.
I put Castrol Formula RS 0W-40 in my engine last service and my engine really seems to like it. Much more quiet, smoother and free revving especially top end. The turbo seems to spool up quicker and the engine more responsive as well.

castrol gtx magnotec
can't remember the grade, but it ain't blew up yet :)
I personally reccomend VAGs Quantum Syntra Gold Fully Synthetic (10W40 I think). I've used this since 15,000 miles and change every 5,000.
