Two weeks ago i bought a 1997 2.0 16 valve Ibiza cupra sport with 52000 miles on it. Since i bought iv had to replace the bar that runs through the pedal box as the original one was worn and totally out of shape and repair the clutch pedal that was also worn where the bar goes through it, the coil has packed in and needed replaced, it has also developed a mysterious intermittent misfire that we cant get rid of and has my mate who's been a mechanic for 10 years pulling his hair out. The air bag light is now staying on. Iv also developed a water leek under the dash on the passengers side. I wonder what its got in store for me next week.
I was just wondering if anyone else has had this much grief from there Seat? And should i be expecting the trend to carry on?
I bought the car to replace a 1992 nissan primera 2.0zx which i ran for 3 year and it never gave me any problems and took a seriously hard time over the three years i had it, And at the moment its looking like i might return to driving a nissan very soon.
Im quite disappointed as its a nice looking little car it drives well and is fun to chuck about but just throws up to many problems.
It could give lotus a run for there money in the unreliability race.
