View Full Version : Convoy from Hants,Berks,Surrey,London etc to RR session on 19th ??
I guess there might be a few of us from the above areas (south+south east) going to the RR session in cheltenham on the 19th..and I suppose a lot of us will be using the M4...
Does anyone want to meet up at M4 J11 (Reading East) at a suitable time and then convoy the rest of the way to Cheltenham ???
There is a carpark just off Mway at that jctn where we could meet, and a Shell garage just opposite for that all important fill up of Optimax.
(Mosser, I'll probably call on you in Bracknell first)

Is anyone going from my neck of the woods? I'll be travelling from Kettering area down the A14, onto the M6 then to the M42 and finishing off on the M5.
If anyone's doing a similar route and can suggest a meeting point, I'd be only too happy to drive down in convoy.
Yeah, I'll be up for that. What kind of time you got in mind?

Yes you do have to confirm and if you follow the link below, you will see the confirmed list and reserve list (yes it is that popluar).
The places are 25 maximum available.
The other details are in the link below.
the best I can do at the moment is add you onto the reserve list. Do you want me to do this?

Mr. Shands you willhave to call me tell what time you are leaving... I was going to go M25, M40 off junction 8 and off up the (A)40 to Cheltenham or is this a no..no:confused:

The A40 route off the M40 is a no no, mainly because it is an extremely boring drive, and it is absolutely loaded with hidden speed cameras!!,
You would be far better off comming round the m25 and up the m4 and meeting up with everyone at j11, myself and tadger should be joining you all at that service area, then its best to come off the m4 at j15 and blast up the a road into cheltenham, that is a very nice road to drive up, no cameras that way at all!!!!

Just be aware that as this road is nice and straight with a few little side roads the police do have a habit of hiding and jumping out on you.
In fact one time when I was going to London at about 6am they were in a layby pointing their laser through the windscreen and out through the back window of an unmarked Range Rover so you couldn't see them. Sneaky basts.

I went that way to Amethyst when I got my wheels the other day and there were 3 mobile speed traps on that road so be carefull..... :eek:

Just a reminder to say the RR actions starts from 09:30 with a lot of people aiming to be there from 09:00.

All those people on the meetup on the M4 should ideall swap mobile numbers in case anyone gets detached or lost (unless you know where you are going that is!),
I visited them yesterday so know where i am going and have stored their location in my gps,
