Hi, been reading around for the last week or so, i am hoping to get a 2000/2001 beeza cupra in the next month or so when ive sold my polo, and i will have a little cash left over.
What i want is a 'revo' remap (i think)
from what ive read ill need:
software : £499 + Vat
Controller : £149 + Vat
so thats about £650 + vat....about £760....
is that right? is that all i will need, and does that include fitting/labour costs?
if i was to go for that, a pannel filter and a say, longlife custom exhaust, what power should i be looking at (156bhp std) 180bhp?or am i being too hopefull there?
hope someone can help me!
one last thing, is what about Jabba, for the same kinda money, what could i get from them, and what power would that offer?
Thanks
Mark B

i'd have thought at least 180 closer to 200 depending on how well your engine takes to chipping. either way,. good luck.

(IF) your motor is producing 156bhp as standard (some don't) then a typical 200bhp post chip/reflash performance is likely.

REVO have the SPS switch boxes which allow various degrees of adjustment and switching.. (check the www.revotechnik.com site for details)

Jabba have an option of in car boost controller which can vary boost real time as you drive. Their remap includes a before and after RR dyno also, so gains are recorded. (some REVO dealers can also do this)

Bang for buck, and features and options are all going to be down to what appeals to you. Geography may play a card in the decision also, as REVO operate through a dealer network covering a lot of the UK, and Jabbasport are a private company located nr Peterborough.

Both products achieve very good end results.

Hi guys, thanks for the replys, thats cool.
I have been trying to log onto revotechniks webby but it wont finish loading on this pc at home, but i tryed at work today (as you can tell im flat out haha) and i had a good nose round, its a good site that.

Yes tom, i happened to be browsing through an auto trader ive got at work from when i was looking for a TDI polo, and came across a modified cupra (2001) for about £8700!after our chat the other week my mind was wondering anyway!
So i looked into it a bit further and ive realised i must be stoopid to be spending £10-£11k on a POLO, when i could be pushing almost 200bhp in a 2000/2001 beeza cupra for about £8500-£9000 plus about £800 for the rechip etc....
needless to say, im now on the lookout for a Cupra with under 20k on the clock :D
Mark:cheers:
