Anybody know how much a set of Cupra R calipers and discs are from Seat. Do they fit behind the standard cupra wheels ? My brakes are awfull...typical VW , reminds me of my old Golfs
why not just sort out the discs /pads and hoses improves braking and travel no end

Awright Mate!
I can happily say that the brakes on the Cupra R are shit-hot stoppers, you'd do really well to get them under anything less than 16" rims though 'cos they are massive!
Good luck...

yup, 16"ers are a must and possibly spacers as they do protrude a bit.
Are the beeza cupra R brakes, the same as the leon cupra brakes, = 312mm discs? i think they stop the car very well indeed

Cupra R brakes are: Brembo 4 Pots with 305mmx28mm discs. Can get them for a grand...NOT INCLUDING fitting..and no dealer in the country has a set apparently!
Will NOT fit behind std 6x16 20VT alloys, unless using a 10mm spacer to push the wheels out making enough room.
Either get a 7x16 wheel (like the Cupra R's OZ's) or some 17's.
Options are to get new discs and pads...like Tarox G88's with Greenstuffs.
Best 300 quid i spent on the car i think......
But make sure you do this BEFORE any power mod!
