View Full Version : Wowwwwww i've just been revo'd
:) :) :) :) :) :) :
I can't wipe the smile of my face. The car is soooooooooo much more fun to drive. The dynatwist is making more of a growl now and even chucking out a whoooosh sound :) .
The car has buckets of torque in all gears, however i was most impressed with 5th as i kept thinking i was in 3rd its that good.
The newly purchased rear spacers seem to eliminate back end twitchyness (if thats a word), the Padgid pads did there job and the Forge DV007 worked wonders.
All in all money well spent (well almost all my money eh Bill ;)
A BIG thanks to Bill and co

Me too, WOW, just love the trip to work now and glad I have Road Angel too!!
How manys Fs in fast!
its great isn't it.
i never thought i'd say this but you do get used to the extra power after a while and the quest for more speed will continue. i'm thinking of sticking it back to stock in the lead up to its 20 thouand mile service so when i get it back, i'll get that buzz again!:)

Nice to see you're enjoying it :)
....for a noticable wedge of extra power consider upgrading your SPS1 to an SPS3 ... will cost another £100ish and means you can run more boost and timing suited to the fuel you use.

Hi Monty77,
Have you put all these extras one by one, or alltogether.I say this because if you have put them one by one, can you tell me what is the benefit of each one, so as I put some of them also?
Regards,
Theodore.

Hi Theodore,
Most of them have gone on in stages, here's the order and what I found:
Revo software & dump valve (day I bought the car :D )
- Transformed the car, pulls like a train in every gear - 5th at 80mph feels like 3rd did before the chip!
Pagid brakes
- Stopping power increased, much less brake fade. Pads create a LOT of dust though
Wheel spacers
- Which idiot at Seat decided it was a good idea to make the rear track width less than the front ?? With spacers on the rear is a lot less skippy at speed on sweeping bends. Appearance from rear of car is better too as the wheels now fill the arches nicely.
Dynatwist induction kit
- Picked up better at low revs, the car suddenly sounds like a turbo :)
Seat sport suspension kit (Eibach springs, bilstein shocks)
- Lowers the car by 10-15mm which is perfect for me, ride is much firmer without being harsh. Can push the car much harder round corners, the Eagle F1 tyres inspire confidence even in the wet.
Scorpion exhaust
- Lovely sound! Car feels more lively at higher revs and top speed appears to have increased a little
Forge uprated intercooler
- On hot days the car felt like it was towing a caravan, things are much better now and it holds boost much longer in hot conditions. Anything that gets the intake temps lower has to be a good thing.
N75 valve
- Seems to hold an extra couple of psi boost at higher revs where it used to tail off badly .. not bad for £30
