Right I cracked on with fitting my ali dial rings yesterday. ( A nightmare but will explain in another post )

Connected it all back up last night, battery connected again and everything worked. It fired up nicely... Didn't go out in mine then until this morning.

It looks like she's in standard mode permenantly :( Can't change modes with the cruise or anything. Nothing happens just like when the security lockout is engaged, only that doesn't do anything when I unlock it either.

So, basically I had the battery disconnected for about 2 hours, and the speedo disconnected for the same amount of time? Is there anythign you need to do when installing an APR ECU to get it to work?

It says something about ignition on for 3 minutes without the engine running so am gonna try that but failing that any ideas?

9psi just isn't any good :(

All sorted now guys...

Disconnected battery for a few mins again, reconnected, leave ignition on for 5 mins before starting, then off, back to ignition on, enter security code and sorted...

It would appear that the APR chip resets to standard and locked when disconnected from the power :)

Crisis over and 16psi is restored :D

pete this is the default setting, and always comes back on with lock on,for obvious reasons, like u found out let car idle or drive it it wont react sraight away as you just done throttle body alignment the manual way, once the ecu has relearnt u can remove it form stock has u found out.

p.s the dials look spot on m8;) and i know how much messing that took, did somthing similar,on my other car
p.p.s looks like i'm gonna do your fabia wiper mod, as found out this weekend on the motorway the standard one does not even sit on the glass fully, left mud in stripey pattern, and looks crap any way

Oh so when you leave the ignition on it does a throttle body alignment does it? Ah, best do that again in the morning then as the engine would have been warm when I did that...

The dials are OK would be prefect if the glue hadn't got on the plastic :(

The fabia wiper is sooo much better, works perfectly.

pete the t.b.a was done when you disconneted the battery for a period, but when u reconnected this sends ecu into relearn or t.b.a as they call it ,wont acccept sec code until has relearnt idle values etc, takes 5 to 10 mins.also important but often forgotten ensure cruise is switched to off then on before entering code on slider, this resets unit ready to accect code, and u r correct do f.b.a when engine has been off say overnight, glad u got it sorted mate;)

Cheers mate

I never bothered much about TBA or anything, in fact I've never really used any of the features.
