this came on yesterday and the car started to splutter and hesitate during accelleration or idle, any ideas what it can be as its getting worse ?

Does the V5 use the coilpack ignition approach ?
If so then they'd be high up on my list and I wouldn't drive the car unless you want to buy a new cat.

And im the newest member, AA man is outside in the rain as we speak. Plugged in the VAG doofer and said no4 cylinder aint fireing. But should be able to get i fixed today hopefully. Hes not sure how to get the air box off the top of the engine to access the coil tho.

No, coil ok apparently, looks like its the fuel injector. He towed me to seat, then took me to pick up hire car. Hopefully fixed on monday.
fuel injector bummer thats a change from the old ciol pack blunder still shouldnt be too hard to fix
