Hi,

I'm new to this forum and wondered who are the Arosa owners here?
Don't reckon there are many are there?

Hi Matt,
I think I'm the only active Arosa Sport owner. I know one guy one here (driveforward) who used to own an Arosa Sport but other than that...

Even better is the TDi 130 Ibiza that my brother owns...

I think a sig is in order, don't you? I thought about it before but didn't know if you'd mind!

Probably won't, well, not for a year anyway! I'm going to uni in four weeks, so from then on funds are tight and I won't be able to take the car for the first year anyway.

We'll see if I land a job next summer! I also fancy a new set of wheels (fatter tyres) and a new suspension setup, but all of this is of course finance dependent.

I'm still really happy with him/her (it's gender alters with my mood, don't ask) so it's alright as standard for now.

Lorna (my other half) has a 1.0mpi... great fun to throw about a bit (feels really fast due to the roll compared to my ibiza cupra... (sisters got an ibiza 1.4 too - we could have a showroom too!)

what i cannot understand is why do the 17 yr olds of the world go and buy 1.1 saxo's corsa's and 106's that could'nt pull the skin off a rice pudding when these arosas are so much better and faster

I don't know. Although I originally had a 1.0 Arosa due to parental concerns about me stacking anything faster... I wanted the diesel but at the time my parents thought it was waaay to fast for me. Fair comment on their part, touch wood I've not had an accident yet.

The Arosa is a great car, although I'm glad their aren't many people "maxing" them with huge bodykits and the like.

Yea should be taking my car, but somehow have some regrets. I know I will end up being a taxi and don't want 2, but then if I left it at home it would be a waste of spending so much on the car! It is no use to any1 else-we all have a car in my family. You taking yours?

I can't mate. Well, I can, but it's £400 a year and I can't really justify it (or afford it!) considering it's a campus university. The car will be used occassionally at home by my dad for the purpose of keeping the thing running. I'll miss it, but then I'm hoping at university I'll have other things to keep me occupied and it'll be there when I get back, and I'll need it.

You done your A-levels this year or have you had a gap year like me?

matt_arosa16v
04-09-2003, 22:45
yea did my a-levels this year and got the following btw:

Maths-B
Physics-B
Chemistry-C
Geography-A

What you need for Warwick/what you get?

Hi,
Congrats on your results, they're excellent!

Sat them last year, needed AAB got:

A - History
A - Maths
B - Physics

...and A is AS General Studies (for some reason they wanted at least a B?!)

Originally got a B in history but had it remarked... it came back 12% higher

How that works I don't know, but I was thankful for the result :D

Nice set of results there m8! I was thinking of going to Warwick, but predicted a B in Maths which I got in the end...

When I was sitting there for the open day I had an E is AS maths and they told me I'd need an A... Resits time! I really liked the place, the feel and the stuff on offer there so I worked my little socks off! I hope it's going to be worth it :)

Where else did you apply to? I applied to Warwick, St Andrews, Reading, Lancaster, Aberystwyth and Keele.
