Seem to be having a few problems with acceleration. When i reach about 3500 revs the turbo kicks in, and then about 1 second later the car seems to choke and the acceleration just stops-feels like a parachute has been released from the back of the car-cars like allegros then go past me, then suddenly the turbo seems to kick in again and off i go.Worried in case this is a turbo problem or any thing else for that matter. Has been doing this for the past 4 months or so. Car is 3 years old-33K on clock. Has been serviced properly.
Can any one help with this.

I have exactly the same problem. I bought my Ibiza Cupra TODAY brand new and am already getting problems with the acceleration. If I put my foot down, the turbo seems to kick in, then stop, then kick in again. This happens throughout the whole acceleration process. Please help coz I'm taking it back to the garage next week and going to complain unless someone comes up with an answer.

MAF sensor?? I'm not an expert but mine was stuttering - at slightly higher revs - and it was the MAF...

i have had the same kind of problems. Could be one of the crank sensors, dont know the exact name for it though.

My turbo kicks in at 3500 revs and power is there but when warm it does not boost i was thinking could be my rubbish d/v what was already on car when bought-not sure tho its annoying tho.And my car was already maped when i bought it with a few other mods should my turbo kick in less??- I am going to buy the forge 007p d/v will that help it??

sorry for pinching your thread ned.
