Until I read all the stuff about lower specs and no radio display (surely it must display somewhere or am I not understanding what's been written?), I was seriously considering getting a new cupra. Now I'm not so sure !
help me convince myself that I do need one !!!

Go for a test drive, then look at the big smile on your face in the mirror.
------------------
The Leon Cupra's used to have a Radio Display in between the Speedo and the Rev Counter. That has now been removed on all Leon's.
They still have the conventional radio display on the radio itself though. http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/smile.gif
Just used to be a nice feature you could see the RDS station displayed near the speedo, now you have to turn your head and look at the stereo not much hardship. http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/wink.gif
Take one for a test drive and im sure you'll enjoy it whether its a Leon or Ibiza.
And dont let anyone but yourself convince you, that you need to have one. Convince yourself. http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/smile.gif

Or alternatively if you want all the toys above mentioned toys get a Toledo V5 170 which has all the bits they've taken off the Leon plus cruise control as well. I had the first one imported into the UK and it was the dogs dangly bits but I succomed to the 180hp Leon which is now sat in my drive.

It is'nt just Seat.
I know of a brand new polo which had to have paint due to imperfections.... Brand new!!! and needed paint!
I would have rejected the car... loads of money and they have to respray some panels.
water based paints just aint durable.

Yep totally agree since the paints are now water based they have a much softer finish, but weaker to the effect of the environment http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/frown.gif
I would make sure you get some kind of paint sealent applied before you take delivery.
Ameythst SEAT are offering a kit called Diamondbrite, which is supposed to protect the finish. The people who have complaints including myself were never offered this when we bought our cars, and the paintwork has suffered greatly.
I think SEAT must admit there is a problem if they are now recommending dealers and customers to have their cars paint sealed.
As long as you have something like that done i would say you'll have no problems.
