Just rcvd my new leon but the EPC light and the engine symbols don't go out until the engine starts. Any one had this? what was it?

I think they are meant to do that. My EPC stays on too until you turn the engine over. Zboyds also, so I would say that that is meant to happen.

No lights should show however when the engine is running, Unless you turn the TCS/ESP off.

Yup the EPC light should elluminate on ignition, due to the ECU testing the linkup for the throttle.

Though this should go out once the engine is started.

As Lee says no lights should be on once the engine is running unless, the handbrake is on, or the TCS is turned off.

the light stays on until engine running to complete self checks.

you shouldn't worry unless light comes on when driving as it is part of the fly by wire and engine management system
