I have an ipod cable fitted in my 07 cupra, just behind the aux port in the cup holder. i plug this cable into my ipods (touch, nano) and press the cd (either goes to cd or aux) not CDC and dont make any sounds! is this cable meant to do anything?

at a guess you'll need a 3.5mm to 3.5mm stereo to stereo cable (looks like a headphone jack on both ends) plug that into the ipod and the "aux" input in the second picture.

I have one of these mate, know how to work it through the aux. I also have the proper cable I'm trying to use through that! Any ideas?

Oh I bought the car like it, you think the person before did a dodgy fit? When I plug in it don't come up with CDC etc. Just cd and aux.

cd changer at a guess.a lot of cars need an input from the item fitted to tell it its there in order for it to recognise it,connects 2 do a kit for you
