Hey all,

Ok, my JVC Headunit has got the 3.5mm female adaptor thing on the back (for steering wheel controls?) and the option to change the "External In" to changer or line in on the menu.

Basically i just want to plug my ipod in and/or a generic mp3 player.

Im guessing i need a bit more electronics to make it work? If so, any ideas?

you'll need a 3.5mm to 3.5mm stereo cable, couple of quid from maplins etc.

i'd guess that you want to change it to "line in"

route the stereo cable from the back to, maybe the glove box? and plug your ipod/mp3 player in.

http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=11422 <-- cheaper option, does the same thing

Tried that today guys no luck, im thinking the 3.5mm female jobby is for steering controls, and il have to use the 9pin din hole next to the RCA ports?

3.5mm aux in are ussually on the front. It's likely to be the red/white rca female. You can get phono (red/white) - 3.5mm cable and like you mentioned change the settings so its not a cd changer been inputed but your mp3...
