IS it possible to revo the 1.9 sdi engine and if so what are the likely gains in torque and bhp??
Thanks Neil
i don't think it is - there's not a turbo so you can't really increase the boost etc
sorry

i thought the sdi still had a very very low pressure turbo, like 0.00000001 bar or something..

whoever told you that needs slapping.
Just cus it doesn't have a turbo doesn't mean it's not chipable. You can change the fueling and the timing (not as much as a petrol car).
Gains would probably be quite low though.
hi i was woundering the same thing about my sdi they can be chipped i got in touch with the derv doctor in ashbourne derbyshire he can chip/remap the sdi for £225 and you will get about 18bhp i havent had mine done yet but its going in after mot see wot happens:)

Don't bother mate.
Sell the car and buy a TDi. This will give more power and the ability to get a good power increase from a remap
