I spent £35 on this kit which came with everything you need to do the repair. I'm not a Halfords man but it seemed one of the only DIY ones around. I did a good job preparing and filling the kerb damage, smoothing it off masking the area and using the alloy spray paint. I was pleased with the result... That was until I took the mask off and the alloy paint is a different shade to my alloy!! I could have cried. I promptly cleaned my alloys the best I could to try and get them to match thinking they might be a bit dirty still (washed them first).It now looks shit - a right amateur job and looks worse than when they were kerbed:head: :yikes:.
I will now have to get Chipsaway back to repair the botched job!
If you are doing all four wheels and are going to completely spray them all it may be worthwhile but for the odd kerb damage forget it. Learn from my costly example!
